This release is ad-hoc signed. It does not use an Apple Developer ID signature. macOS may block it on first launch.

What you’ll need

  1. Check your Mac. Use macOS 13.3 or later. The universal installer supports Apple Silicon and Intel.
  2. Set up your account. You need an Ada account and access to your email for signup verification. Keep an internet connection for sign-in and the initial speech-model download.
  3. Allow space for the model. Setup reuses the speech model your selected languages need when compatible files pass verification. It downloads or repairs required model files as needed. Model files are separate from the installer. Allow extra disk space for installation and cache files.
  4. Grant permissions. Microphone permission is needed to capture speech. Accessibility permission lets Ada insert text into other apps. A managed Mac may require your administrator's approval.

Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Ada uses on-device speech recognition. An internet connection is needed for account services and model downloads.

Install Ada

  1. Download and open the DMG file above.
  2. Drag Ada to Applications.
  3. Open Ada from Applications.
  4. If macOS blocks Ada, open System Settings. Go to Privacy & Security. Scroll down and choose Open Anyway for Ada.
  5. Choose Open in the confirmation dialog.

If macOS says Ada is damaged or will harm your computer, stop and contact support. On a managed Mac, ask your administrator for help.

About this release

Hindi and Hinglish accuracy may vary when mixing languages. Review the text before using it. Hinglish accuracy is still being improved.
